Phil Andrew Files Close to 4,000 Petition Signatures to Get on the Ballot in IL-09
Springfield, IL: In an impressive display of momentum, Phil Andrew filed almost 4,000 petition signatures, as the next step to securing his place on the March 2026 Ballot and the opportunity to represent Illinois’ 9th Congressional District.
“I am deeply grateful to every volunteer who knocked on doors, collected signatures, and powered this effort, and to every voter who signed with hope and purpose,” said Phil Andrew.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to protect and fight for families in the 9th Congressional District.
“As a survivor of one of the country’s earliest school shootings, a former FBI hostage negotiator, and a small-business owner, I will fight to keep our families safe and work to create a secure and thriving economy,” said Andrew. “Across the district, people are sharing their anxiety about divisive performative politics ignoring the rising cost of health-insurance, groceries and goods. Families are concerned about a safe and economically secure future - affordable for themselves and their children. People are exhausted by the whiplash from one crisis to another and want ethical leadership to make the American Dream attainable, protect our national security and bring order to the chaos.”
Building on strong fundraising numbers and a recent endorsement from Brady PAC, this announcement solidifies Andrew’s status as a leading voice in the crowded field.
