Working families, seniors, and small business owners deserve protection from scams, identity theft, predatory lenders, and digital exploitation. I’ll strengthen enforcement of consumer protection laws, crack down on financial fraud, and hold companies and leaders accountable for deceptive practices. That includes capping interest rates on payday loans, restoring and expanding the authority of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and passing comprehensive digital privacy legislation. Consumers should have control over their personal data and confidence that their financial security isn’t being undermined by corporate abuse or government inaction.
